Beauty advice can be found almost anywhere and everyone's opinion is different. You can ask a random stranger on the street and they can dispense some form of beauty advice. There are some tried and true beauty advice, like how to properly apply makeup and what shapes suit certain body types. Ultimately you should realize that you can read beauty advice but only take it if you want to, nothing is set in stone.
There are many places that you can find beauty advice, the TV, movies, online, in magazine, radio and on books. Beauty advice is everywhere and it is constantly  changing. The Internet is a great place to find beauty advice. You just need to be careful about who is giving the advice. Anyone can write a blog or testimonial. If you are serious about finding advice then you should look for a makeup or beauty consultant or company. These individuals have studied beauty and fashion and will not give you any bad information. True you may not like the information but it will all be true. Make sure to read the fine print and determine who is dispensing the advice.
You should also realize that people's definition of beauty is different. Just because your friend thinks a particular actor is beautiful does not mean you will agree. The same goes for beauty professionals. You don't have to follow all the beauty advice you read. If you are interested then try some suggestions but ultimately you need to figure out what gives you the results you are looking for. Additionally not all beauty advice is for you, I would never recommend that an Asian woman follow beauty advice that was given to an African American woman. You need to keep everything in perspective.

There is beauty advice available for men in many of the same avenues as women, magazines, radio, online, TV etc. Think of how the term metro sexual has popped into use in today's society. Beauty for men was very popular during Victorian time where a men's dress was just as important as a women's. Just because men's beauty advice may be a little harder to find doesn't mean it isn't there.
